Guest Speaker - 3D & Green: Two AV Trains You Need to See Coming

Stereoscopic 3D is certainly a phenomenom in theaters and 3DTVs. But 3D has been in use by AV professionals for a decade or more. Plus, new home theater projectors are coming that will be 3D capable. What do you need to know about these technologies, signals, content and availability to determine if this is an opportunity for you? This discussion will provide an overview to try to address the 3D issue. In addition, ProAV system intergators need to be watchful of Green AV activities. This includes guidelines for new Green AV equipment, but also regulatory and agency initiatives that will impact on how display products are designed, used and sold. The second part of this presentation will provide a high level overview of some of the activities in Green AV and how they will impact the industry.
