BSI (British Standards Institution) has published PAS 122 Specification for the installation of audiovisual equipment in classrooms and general publicly accessible areas. This PAS (publicly available specification) is for use by AV installation companies in the UK that provide installations which include a component such as a computer, projector, interactive whiteboard and plasma screens or loudspeakers. 

The American Institute of Physics is reaffirming and redesignating ANSI S3.2-1989 (R1999) to become BSR/ASA S3.2-1989 (R200x), Method for Measuring the Intelligibility of Speech Over Communication Systems. This includes measurement of speech intelligibility over entire communication systems, evaluation of the contributions of elements of speech communication systems and evaluation of factors that affect the intelligibility of speech.
