Verrex Expands into Asia-Pacific

MOUNTAINSIDE, N.J. & KOWLOON BAY, Hon Kong -- Verrex, a design-build integrator and managed services provider of global conferencing and communication solutions, formally announced the company’s continued expansion with the opening of its Hong Kong-based Asia Pacific headquarters, Verrex Asia Limited. Among senior appointments Thomas Berry, Jr., will serve as Chairman & CEO of Verrex Asia Limited; Norman Fornella will serve as President & COO of Verrex Asia Limited; and Michael Stahl will serve as Executive Director of Verrex Asia Limited.
“Hong Kong is a financial center inline with New York and London, home to expanding global businesses,” said Executive Director, Michael Stahl. “The positive economic growth around Asia and intensification of demand for conferencing and managed services created a unique opportunity for a first-class quality integrator to be based in the region. Our Asia Pacific expansion immediately propels Verrex to address that opportunity.”
Verrex Asia Limited will build the brand locally with both native and global professionals mimicking the Americas-based corporation’s strengths in systems design, engineering, project management, quality assurance, installation and managed services. The organization will also act as a Distributor offering an exclusive range of audiovisual and conferencing products to end-users and system integrators in Asia, including from Americas and European based manufacturers without a channel in the region.

Several projects recently commenced by Verrex Asia Limited include:
• Audiovisual design services for State Street in Hangzhou, China including creation of an infrastructure and facility design package for several presentation rooms, videoconference rooms, training rooms, public display areas and a pod multipurpose room with videoconferencing capabilities.
• Audiovisual integration and onsite project management services for Deutsche Bank’s new corporate auditorium at the International Commerce Center (ICC) in Hong Kong.
The announcement of the office’s opening follows several announcements earlier in 2010 regarding executive appointments. Norman Fornella, Executive Vice President & CFO of Verrex Corporation, was appointed to Verrex Asia Limited President & COO. Thomas Berry, Jr., Verrex Corporation President & CEO, was appointed to Verrex Asia Limited Chairman and CEO. Michael Stahl, formerly Verrex Corporation New England Executive Director was promoted to Executive Director of Verrex Asia Limited.
