Leadership Development Committee

The Leadership Development Committee (LDC) was established by InfoComm International in 2008 to find and mentor volunteers to serve on committees and to appear on the next InfoComm election ballot.

The LDC consists of the Chairman of Leadership Development Committee; the InfoComm President, President-Elect and Secretary–Treasurer; three members elected by InfoComm membership; and three members appointed by the Chairman of the Leadership Development Committee. The LDC reports to the Board of Directors and, with the help of staff, will create and maintain an InfoComm Volunteer Leaders database. This database will keep track of members past and current volunteer positions, their desire to serve in the future, professional and personal expertise and their performance as volunteers.

From the InfoComm Volunteer Leaders database and from recommendations of members, the LDC will make appointments and nominations; make suggestions to committee chairs, the Board, and the President for their use in recruiting committee members; and select volunteers to attend the InfoComm 100.

The InfoComm 100 is made up of no more than one hundred members and non-members who provide information to the Board on issues it is considering and on issues they think should be evaluated for future consideration by the Board. The agenda for this forum, created by the LDC in consultation with the Board and chairs of standing, steering and independent committees, is used to select attendees who are best equipped to accomplish the agenda of the forum.
